ESET blocking websites?

My girlfriend recently installed ESET Smart Security 4 Trial,
but now she cannot access www.facebook.com as it gets stuck trying to load the anti-phishing page (static.ak.fbcdn.net),
she also cannot download windows updates, (it stays at 0%),
also other sites do not load images and layout properly, including these eset forums.

Please help us ):

If you disable the firewall do any of the issues remain?

Sorry to say,
We disabled the firewall, and adjusted the IDS options as explained but it is still not loading correctly or downloading updates.
