I'm continually receiving this error with Thunderbird client. I have repaired the installation, uninstalled, reinstall to no avail! Very frustrating! I don't know what else to do? Suggestions.

    Thank you.

    Edit:
I'm still getting the error message even after following the instructions in that thread.

    Hi cgeek,

Please provide us with some additional information:

Are you running the latest version (4.2.71) of ESS?
What version of Windows are you currently running?
Any previous antivirus software? If so, which one and what steps did you take to uninstall it?
    When did the problem begin?
What are the exact steps that cause the issue?

    Thank you.

    Hi Tony,

I'm using ESS version 4.2.71.2 and Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit. ESS was installed on a fresh install of Win 7 so no previous AV software. The problem began on the morning of March 28. The error seems to appear everytime I get a new email from a address not on the whitelist or blacklist.
As stated previously the advice given earlier doesn't seem to work for me. The reason being is that Windows is stating that the directory below doesn't exist. Which I have confirmed myself that it doesn't by manually looking for it.

    del /Q "%APPDATA%\ESET\ESET Smart Security\Antispam\*.*"

    Regards,
    Cgeek

    Hi cgeek,

I know you said that you already tried by repairing, uninstalling ESS and reinstalling. Did you use the Eset Uninstaller tool? You can find it here:

    http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2289

Please follow these instructions and let me know if that makes a difference.

    Thank you.

    Hello Tony,
Yes, I have run the uninstall tool previously and I am still recieving these errors. This is starting to become a big inconvenience since I'm recieving lots of spam.

    Regards,
    Cgeek
