I am running Eset 4.0.467.0 on a fresh installation of Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. Part of my Lenovo T-500 is an Ericsson F3507G GSM Mobile Broadband adapter. The Eset personal firewall is not an option to choose on that adapter, see attachment.

Is this normal? Are the Broadband adapters not supported by Eset?

Can nobody at Eset confirm whether GSM cards are supported?

Can anyone at Eset please tell me whether my computer is protected when plugged directly into the Internet using a GSM card?

    No , it isn't .

This is just a network adapter and it doesn't matter it is a wireless one , 3G or whatever.

Uninstall ESS . If impossible , try http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2289

Reinstall ESS or get just ESET NOD32.

Thank you for the responses. The suggestions did not work. The WWAN card still does not have Eset services available to it.

I will try to open a ticket.

Can you simply forget about Eset Smart Security and install ESET NOD32 Antivirus ?
