    and.... the experience so far? finally worth switching from 5.8.8?

    AFAIK, version 6 runs ALL the time! Even when you're not using it! Why the developer went this way is beyond me and unless they have rewrote Eraser from the ground up, it's a waste of CPU cycles. I have stayed with 5.8.8 and have NO plans to change... :(

    Same here. 5.8.8 does everything I need without the bloat.

    Thanks but no thanks !

    I gave it a try but much prefer the 5.7 or 5.8 versions
    I see no need to install .net framework as is required by these later incarnations.

    Guys - i'm late to the party concerning Eraser and have only tried out version 6. Could someone elaborate on why so many seem to be sticking with version 5 o_O

    You can remove it's startup entry. The right-click menu should still work, but it'll open Eraser in the background.

    A new feature in version 6 is that it randomizes the filename of erased files.

    And how does version 5.8.8 handle thato_O What features will i lose if i go back to 5.8.8 o_O
