If I work on something (like games, office and so on), I do not want to be bothered. :)

I was about to give this a try, but 105Mbs at download for an email client is absurd. After that its nearly 500Mbs after installation.

Its extremely buggy. I wouldnt waste my time if I were you until it gets further into development.

Thanks for the warning. How did you find out about the buggy aspect?

I actually installed it to test it out. Thats how I know it went from a 105Mb download to 500Mbs installed. For an email client to take up half a gig of space is just baffling to me.

Well, it isn't email client. It's a groupware client (MS Exchange, calendars etc.) That said, I never liked the thing on Linux either. I'd rather suggest Claws Mail for Windows - that's the non-bloated very good email client mostly used on Linux.

    10.3 Mb DL.
Or the even lighter Sylpheed http://sylpheed.sraoss.jp/en/ 6.4 Mb DL.
Shares lineage with Claws Mail. I run them both. Both capably handle IMAP.

Sorry to ask so many questions but how do those numbers compare with eMClient?

The eMClient is 41Mbs after install. Thunderbird is 32.3Mbs. Im using Thunderbird for the time being since I dont get the IMAP error I get with eMClient. If I leave eMClient on to long IMAP access gives an error saying it cant be accessed.

It sounds like Thunderbird is less problematic than eMclient or Evolution.

So far for me it has been, but I havent tested Sylpheed or Claws.

EDIT- Claws is nice, but I cant find the option to minimize to the tray. To me that is a must have feature.

Sylpheed offers the minimize to tray, but doesnt offer themes from what I can tell. However its very light. Weighs in at 10Mbs of RAM, and after install expands to 23.3Mbs on disk.

I am kinda being forced to find a new email client now. I had been using webmail @hotmail but after the latest changes it will not work on my machine with my Firefox. So I guess tonight I will be downloading Windows Live Mail. I liked webmail because I could check it on any machines. I used Outlook for a time but after it downloads all my mail I can't view it on webmail. If I remember correctly Windows Live Mails lets you keep the main on the hotmail servers so I can still use webmail on other machines.

All you have to do is copy the storage folder. I moved that to the documents folder on another partition, so when I back up that, my mail folder gets backed up at the same time. This will also backup your settings, contacts, etc. If you ever have to re-install it you just change the storage folder to the old one you have (or a backup of that) and you'll get a popup that says the folder isn't empty, do you want to use the data in it. Click yes and then all you have to do is enter your password again.
