I have a version 9.5 of Paragon Hard Disc Manager. I also have XP Home on C drive, & W7 on a partition called E Drive. I successfully created & saved an image of my C drive.

My questions involve how I create the image for W7 on E drive:
Do I have to reinstall the software onto W7 & create the back-up from there?
Do I create the back-up for W7 E drive while located on C drive?
Do I need a Rescue Disc for each drive?

When booted into W7 - E drive becomes C drive according to W7. How is this going to mess me up if I have to reinstall W7?

Sorry for so many questions but I am totally new to a dual boot set-up.

    Hi MrvMagoo,

You can create an image of the 7 partition from the HDM installed in XP.

Just one rescue disc is needed.

If you restore 7 image from within XP - it should automatically restore as E .

When you boot back into 7, it will still see itself as C.

    Hope it helps.

Thanks SIW2 - Your reply was helpful in directing me to stay in XP to perform the various image back-ups.

    Glad to be of help.

The HDM 9.5 SE is a great app.

If you do want to install it on 7 for any reason - it works really well for me on 7x64.
