I have Partition Expert 2003 build 286. These were my configurations

C: NTFS 9.5 GB (7 GB used 2 GB free)
D: NTFS 90 GB (57 GB used and 32 GB free)

So I used the Free increase space wizard and increased the C drive to 17.6 GB. But now Partition Expert shows 15 used space and 2 GB free (Image attached PE.jpg). But when I right click on the C drive in windows properties, it shows the original configuration. Where did the increased space go and why do I see different thing at two different place?

    Hello oregonian,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software.

We regret to inform you that we do not support Acronis Partition Expert 2003 any longer since it is rather old version. We recommend that you purchase the upgrade to Acronis Disk Director Suite 9.0 at our on-line store.

    Thank you.

    Hello oregonian,

Thank you for your continued interest in Acronis Partition and Disk Managing Software.

I am happy to inform you that I think I will be able to support you with this particular problem since I had the exact same problem back in November 2003 (Acronis support request #26773).

    1. Reboot with your PE 2003 Rescue CD.
    2. Shrink the 9.5/17.6 GB C: partition just a little bit, leaving something like 50-100 MB free space after the C: partition and the D: partition.
    3. Reboot back into Windows.

    Thank you.

Edit: OBS: The latest PE 2003 build is #292 and you are running #286.
