I am having trouble with one drive on my Win7 64 PC, the drive I want to save my backups to.

I can see the disk in Drive Backup 10 Pro disk view. Backups always fail with an "Invalid argument" scripts interpreter error. The BioNtLog file shows
    GetDriveParameters 0x84 (and 0x85, 0x86, 0x87)
IOCTL_DISK_GET_DRIVE_GEOMETRY failed: Error (0x15) The device is not ready.

I have tested this disk with Drive Backups Extreme surface test, chkdsk, and Western Digital's Data Lifeguard Diagnostic utility, no problems found. Manually coping files to/from the drive is OK. Reformatting didn't help. This is a WD IDE drive, other drives in the system are SATA.

Any ideas about what is causing this problem?
