Removal instructions can be found here

Once you have it removed I would suggest following the steps located here, just use your Anti-virus instead of Nod32.

The steps there should fairly well tell if your system is clean...

Lets us know how you go...

    Cheers :D

That doesn't work for the latest versions only some easy to remove older versions

The best solution seems to be

    AdAware SE from http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download
    also download and install http://www.lavasoft.de/software/addons/vx2cleaner.shtml
and run it before the main adaware scan and follow it's directions

then do a full scan with adaware and let it clean the remainder

if that doesn't fix it then the VX2 cleaner from http://download.broadbandmedic.com/

make sure you pick the correct version depending on your op system there is one for W2k & XP and one for 9X ad ME

If neither fix it then you have a later version and will have to wait a few days till the programs are updated

thanks for your help. allthough i couldnt find the files you told me to delete and i couldnt find the browser help objects folder either. but the problem seems to have stopped bt now i cn no longer connect to the internet. when i scan my pc it still finds a few files of vx2 but it doesnt find any vx2 modules which were there before. i downloaded a add-on for ad aware called a vx2 cleaner and that says my system is clean bt it keeps finding files everytime i switch the computer on. when i get my internet connection back i'll try and download the things that dvk01 says. thanks
