hi, just bought TDS-3, but having read the forums here, it seems like veryone is using other software to complement TDS-3. I use KAV for firewall and antivirus, but do i need other anti trojan software etc.. can anyone recommend anything else

thanks for any comments on this

    Hi tonymax
TDS3 is th most powerful Anti Trojan solution there is currently, it does a whole lot more than simply catch Trojans.
Please download the trial version and see what else it can do:
    http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/

I should ask thet question in the other Anti Trojan forum :)

    hi pilli..

i have bought TDS-3, and seems to be the best according to all the polls etc i have read.. but people are using other things to complement it...

was wondering whether this was necessary..., does it cover things like adware, keyloggers, etc... as well...

    thanks again..

It does cover Trajanic keyloggers and spyware but only those that are truly Trojanic by nature.
DCS have always said that you still need a good Antivirus, this applies to other dedicated tools such as your spyware blockers and catchers etc.

Most Wilders members believe a layered defence to protect their systems :)
ie. Don't put their eggs all in one basket.

KAV & TDS is a good combination & should catch pretty much everything thrown at you

BUT a dedicated adware/spyware remover is also very useful

TDS does have a lot of adware/spywares in it's database, BUT it is primarilly an anti trojan and not an anti spyware/adware remover.

it does fix a lot of the dangerous spywares/adwares but it isn't dedicated to this task and quite a few will be missed by it However if you submit any files relating to spyware/adware or any trojan or any suspicious file that it misses to submit@diamondcs.com.au then they normally will be included in the next daily update

if enough people submit the files then TDS developers will include them and it soon will be able to remove & protect you from more of the pests

    Spybot - Search & Destroy from http://security.kolla.de
    AdAware SE from http://www.lavasoft.de/support/download

tonymax, Please do not take offence but this is the TDS3 support forum.
It would be better if you were to start a new thread in another forum such as Software & Services, that way you will get a broad spectrum of opinion which will probably be more useful to you. :)

    Thanks Pilli
