do I install SP1 OR SP2 suffies

    After installing XP shall I install SP2 straight
    OR SP1 then SP2

    Please remember that SP2 is a complete update: You can even install SP2 on a brand-new, "virgin" install of the original (pre-SP1) XP, if you wish. SP2 should bring your system up to date in one step.
    Of course, you'll need to install any post-SP2 patches that may appear as time goes on, but at least you will have SP2 in one easy step.

    Hi:)

    Some friends of mine got XP SP2 installed when buying new pc's, while - mine being quite older - my machine was SP1 which I upgraded tp SP2

    Some of our previously common softs never got to work on their machines, while my softs continued to work perfectly before and after.

    An example of that might be Drive Image 2002, which one just can't get to install ON SP2, while installing on SP1 and then upgrading to SP2 allows it to continue running smoothly and perfectly.

    Many other softs in that situation...
