Looking at running processes through Port Explorer , does this file need to be running? I tried killing the process but it keeps coming back. Another program list it as DCOM DLL host process...... and again i can not terminate this process....

    Hello MD141.
These are system processes and will be greyed out in the menu item of Port Explorer as they are essential windows processes.

    dllhost - dllhost.exe
    Process File: dllhost or dllhost.exe
    Name: DCOM DLL Host Process
Description: DCOM DLL host process that supports DLL-based COM objects and is used by many Windows programs.
    Windows System Process

I can find no security risks associated with DCOM.

HTH Pilli - Enjoy your weekend :)

    do you use adshield??

because at the time I used it, it was the dllhost using it.

you should get maxthon and no need for adshield any more... :D

No , I do not. I hadn't notice dll running - I gotten to a point which processes are normally running at start up. I did a hard drive back up last night... dll host shows up... just odd it won't terminate.
