Wow. Great price. I already own and use SpyShelter Firewall. It's very granular (HIPS) and is a perfect combo with any antivirus.

    Just FYI

The Softpedia coupon codes (SOFTPEDIAFW, SOFTPEDIA) also work when ordering at the official SpyShelter website.

It is comments like this plus prior ones in this forum about some questionable business practices that keep me from buying the software.

If they are allowing a promotional price, then there should be no conditions - period.

I do not trust this company. They provide lousy support IMO and they might go AWOL.

I don't know what you mean with this AWOL thing.
SpyShelter is here since 2009 and is frequently updated.

About support - I bought today by mistake 2 one year licenses instead of one, wrote to SpyShelter's support and I've been refunded in about hour.

My conclusion is that I guess We are talking about different companies since I haven't experienced any unusual "business practices".

Nope. Same company. Below are a sampling of previously posted comments from this forum:

Over half year and 2 years and older posts have found their new life thanks to you.
    Thumbs up!

Big companies practically never responded to my support questions - this includes Bitdefender, ESET and Avira. What I do know that it is always hard to get response after 1 email from someone who probably receives tons of e-mails.

That's why I prefer sending numerous support e-mails till I get response than crying all around why can't I receive my license or something similiar.

This is the quote from the topic you've quoted:
And this is what all you should do, maybe it will teach you how to fight for your rights instead of whining.

Since v8.0 released I haven't had even one small problem with it, neither with support.

In 2, 3 years the only thing you have found is the problem they had with the licenses which was solved in a week. Thanks for contradict everything you have said until now, you have make us save some keystrokes
