Disabling antivirus in Returnil 2010

Is it possible to completely disable the AV part in Returnil 2010?
Will such a move produce any ill effects on the long term operations of the software?

Yes you can deactivate the VG completely and it will have no ill effect on the functioning of the virtualization.

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply coldmoon,glad to know that, as i disabled the antivirus in Returnil as well as the heuristic part of Avira,relying only on Prevx and Avira scans on demand. This on account of a few Critical errors showing up in Admin Events in my Win7 64bits which I cant understand where they come from yet, as pc is nearly perfect now.
Perhaps admin events in the new system are very talkative for nothing....
