Some of you may have an interest in an article that I wrote regarding free desktop search programs. It can be found at:

    http://www.techsupportalert.com/best-free-desktop-search-utility.htm

In it, I mention Everything, Agent Ransack, and my favorite; Locate32.

At home, in a non-networked environment, I rely on windows search. At work, in a networked environment, I rely on Locate32.

BTW--I fall in the camp of not turning off indexing or windows search.

So this was interesting! I disabled indexing for all files and folders (or whatever it's called) and my Logitech Illuminated "Home Page" hot key, which launches Cyberfox (or whatever browser, home page you want) would not work after waking the PC up from sleep. I turned indexing back on for just the Set Point folder and the same thing still happened. It did ask if I wanted to for files and sub folders but said no. Might go back and try that. Pretty stupid of me to even care since a click of the Sandboxie icon in the quick launch bar does the same thing but I do obsess about my hot keys so I'm indexing again.
