Did NOD32 listen to people or just...

    Notice a virus from other companys? I got a virus through AIM, which some called a mydoom variant, but NOD didnt detect it. NOD now calls it Fliz.A or something now. But I thought it was a vius so I scanned it on virustotal and a few other detected it. I also sent it to samples@nod32.com . Now today it has been picked up. Did ESET just get the statistics from Email usually, other comanys, or things like virustotal?

    As goes for all AV/AT software companies, malware samples are collected from many sources - and that includes samples provided the way you have.
