Diagnostic and Repair software

hi - from time to time i come across ads for diagnostic and repair software and i'm wondering whether they are as wonderful as they say they are or just the usual hype?

Has anyone had experience with this type of software? any recommendations?

generally speaking your better probably to stick with well known and reputable programs that have many recommendations from other users on forums like this some are free some aren't but either way ya cant go wrong of ya do

and this is especially important when choosing maintenance and security software for obvious reasons you choose badly you could end up in a whole mess of trouble because there are many Spam programs out there that are there solely for the purposes of scamming the unwary

one infamous one that I'm aware of is Evidence Eliminator this company uses despicable Spam 'n Scare tactics preying on user ignorance to try and get them to buy there software.
