With the current stable release of WSA at 8.0.4.46, what happens to the beta releases .47, .48, .50, and .57?
I'm not sure what you mean. The beta versions are a different update track but are updated to the live version once its released.
Not sure if I'm fully understanding question also, however, it may help to regard these interim beta builds as various 'stepping-stones' on the path to the next general release. During beta testing a developer may choose to implement various changes, or un-implement previous changes, or perhaps experiment to assess the impact, sort of 'let's try this', which is acceptable during beta stage. I'd imagine various examples of builds are retained for potential future reference also, perhaps. HTH
Well there are many internal versions being worked on so they post the most stable Beta to users so the reason for the jumps in numbers it has always been this way. HTH, TH
Thanks for the info. I apologize if I came across as nosy or crass. That's the way (being nosy and asking questions) I've learned much more than the basics of computers and software. I keep 6 - 10 friends and family computers current so want to be up to date. I do have a beta key for 10 computers, one of which I gave to zfactor. Thanks again.
