Works great. Still at shame that WmiPrvSE keep using 10% CPU while running Crystal Security. I like it a lot but cant offer that much CPU time to it.

    Hi Kardo,

I have a bug to report; opera.exe (version 19.0.1326.59) is unknown and even though i added it to the whitelist, a security alert for the same executable keeps popping up every once in a while. I'm using 3.2.0.73 Beta.

And checkup doesn't add anything to the whitelist, is this the expected behavior?

    Hi,

Thank you for your feedback! :thumb:

    Tried to re-produce without success.

opera.exe is known as Safe by VirusTotal for now (I believe that Crystal Security uploaded it while you got popup for unknown opera.exe process).
Please note that unknown files will be uploaded (if 'upload unknown' enabled under settings) into VT and re-checked after 15 minutes again.

    Currently yes.

    Regards,
    Kardo

Virustotal still doesn't have the file as I write this, I checked manually. And a suggestion if an unknown in whitelist returns an unknown, don't show a popup.

Can you add a setting to restore the file types without rest all the settings?
Can you do some kind of tooltips when the mouse is over the setting in order to understand what it does exactly? is not clear for some of the settings.
Does it make sense to add so many file types by default, should it be limited by default to the most common executable files?
Could you add a column to show what was the last date the file was scanned on VT? I mean the real date showed by VT not the date when CS checked it.
Bug: the remove button to delete file types doesn't work

The latest beta is quite stable, a little bit more of work and will be a must have security app.
how are you handling the limitation of 4 files per min of VT? shouldn't you setup a queue for files that needs to be uploaded because they have never scanned? this is probably many files fail for being scanned. I think if you talk with VT developers you can get some kind of improvement.

I can't still delete the predefined file types, If I create new ones I can deleted them but not the existing ones.

    Hi Kardo,

Can you put an option to change for how long the notification stays up?

Also I have some files (like my custom batch files) which aren't detected by Crystal Security when they are launched.

    Hi again,

Is the program able to auto-update itself ? Checking for updates only shows a new version is available but doesn't do anything else for me.

HIPS was blocking the update script, false alarm :D

Also you might want to change the notification text, it stays at 10 even if you set it as a different duration.

    Hi,

Yeah, updater should work without any problems. :thumb:

    Works fine here.

Can you please try to delete Settings file from AppData/Crystal Security?
After that please try to change Notification duration again.

You may also try to Reset settings:

Click on 'Reset' and then 'Apply'.

    Regards,
    Kardo

I think I need to explain more clearly. I set the notification to close after 3 secs and it does do that. However the notification text still says it will close in 10 secs.
