Conficker predictions

BitDefender predicts Conficker will grow bigger in 2010
hope to stay away from it in 2010 as well

 

I predict that BitDefender will tank and get bought out by Placebo AV.

 

I predict that TRJAM will use Placebo Av's avatar.

hope you're right- I've heard some "friends' getting it; and what's funny is that it spread rly easily in his company's network.

 

This is not uncommon, since file sharing ports will be open in a network, even though blocked at the perimeter. This was noted last year in a Windows Secrets Newsletter:

To be infected this way means that your friend's network workstations did not have the MS08-067 and -068 patches in place.
