    Hi,
    I'm using TI 8 build 826 on a windows me laptop. I'm attempting to create an image of my laptop (compaq w/ c and d drives) and save it over a network to a desktop (windows 98se).
    I use the word attempt because all four attempts have ended with my computer freezing and a forced shut down.
    I get to the screen that says: commit pending operations-- creating partition image.
    On the 3rd try, even my computer clock froze. I've never seen that.
    On the 4th try everything looked good, the little icon was blinking. But there was no progress in over an hour & the estimated 2 hours was still 2 hours.
    When I attempted to cancel, my computer locked up.

    Any help you can give will be appreciated. But I'm not all that computer savy so, please, speak slowly and use little words. :D

    Thanks,
    kc

    Hello kcvale,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Could you please create Acronis Report in the way described at Acronis Help Post and send it to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread.

    Also please install the http://www.acronis.com/files/support/SnapAPI_s_e.exe update with enabled logging, reproduce the problem (wait till the computer freezes and reboot it) and send us the C:\snapapi.log file.

    Please do the following:

    - Open Start\Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Information;
    - Choose the "Save" option in the "File" menu, enter the "File name" and set the field "Save as type" to "Version 5.0/6.0 System Information File (*.NFO)";
    - Send us the saved file.

    All this information will let us investigate the problem thoroughly and provide you with the possible workaround.

    Thank you.
