    Windows 8/8.1 <-> CIS 8.X

    Windows 10 <-> CIS 10

    COMODO using OS version numbering...

    For example, when Bitdefender cleans some infections, it will also clean Internet Explorer's home pages. When user re-launches IE, then it will be blank home page :)about). This sort of thing is not documented and a lot of people think this type of behavior is a bug - and report it as such.

    Just look at the Bitdefender forum. There's a lot of users that cannot figure things out = very poor documentation.

    So Comodo staff is wrong as well. Any "av" has several lines of defense.
    Usability reasons? LoL

    I think he just means CIS is an internet security suite as opposed to an anti-virus-only, like COMODO Anti-VIrus...

    Thanks.

    Then Comodo repeats the same mistake: 8+1=10.

    Thank you. I'm just considering if it's worth to participate in their beta.

    I fully understand why you are hesitant ;)
    Very happy using CIS 5.12 on one of my old Win 7 boxes as i have for many a year :thumb:
    Personally i am a fanboy of CIS from years gone by but not so much now.

    Still CIS 5.12 - amazing constancy!

    Btw isn't 5.12 just adaptation of 5.10 for Windows 8?

    Thanks but I follow the advice of MT.hjlbx over WS.hjlbx as the former is more informative about my case.

    Really? I skipped 5.12. 5.10 was rather smooth.

    Thanks. It was my fault to ask correctly. I didn't inform so you didn't say. That's OK.

    Solar- This build should only be considered for a VM to confirm usability It currently has some issues with the Sandbox and HIPS settings, and the main GUI itself is unfinished. Add to that the recommendation that each old build be uninstalled prior to an installation a new beta build and it's easy to see that this is geared for geeking around with it in a VM and not using it on a production system.

    For me 5.12 was the best, but it doesn't work on W10. Oh well, 8.4 is working perfectly for me.

    Word from the 'Official Forum' is Valkyrie will only be included in CCAV, at least for now.
    Seems they dropped the ball yet again.

    Yet again is the way to go with Melih and Comodo, a sad story and a sod it story,
    shame really, considering the potential of the original product.
