I am pretty sure it used to be trustix personal firewall. Trustix was bought by comodo which made almost all their products free.

Yep, trustix was $39.99. But you can tell from the picture comodo made their own firewall as it looks nothing like trustix. Or Comodo and trustix are the same thing. Looks like most trustix products were dropped and remade into comodo products.

There are no new "network filtering" features that I could find. The packet filter options are pretty much the same as 2.4

v.3 does not require inbound rules and blocks all by default unless an application is using the connection. Did 2.4 have ARP protection?

Where is the evidence for this very poor inbound security? Comodo passes all the Shields up tests etc. so what exactly are the weaknesses?

comodo 2.4 has spi. You can enable the ability to check packet checksum verification and monitor other NDIS protocol (which I can't see myself really using...) I turned on packet checksum and it doesn't seem to slow down connection very much as far as I could tell. Says personal computers dont really need this and that would seem right to me... Don't know much about networking as i'm not into it and don't share with the one PC that was sharing my router via wireless. Anyway you can customize networking rules.

I think its more important that newcommers will atleast start using these various firewalls whether or not they are free and that Great products like Online armor, the other good products, etc... Get the attention and donations (for free usage) that they deserve.

Comodo Personal Firewall 2.4 seems to miss a few leaktests now, but I am absolutely positive Comodo Firewall Pro Beta 3 will pass all known leaktests and possibly more :D

Which ones? I may test v 3 against them.
