    Both can stealth you.
    Windows Firewall can stealth you.
    CHX-I can stealth you.

So what additional protection does CHX-I if all it does is stealthed? If your stealthed your protected, right?

CHX-I also has the ability to define outbound rules. The only outbound filtering the Windows firewall currently does is for a few ICMP types.

Yes, but I'm talking about inbound protection only.
They both stealth you, but does one protect you inbound more then the other or are they both the same?

Both offer good inbound protection. CHX-I does offer more configuration options with it's rules abilities.

CHX-I offers SPI (stateful inspection), which deals with fragmentation anomalies of packets, while Windows Firewall does not. Plus, as has been mentioned, CHX-I offers outbound control of port destinations and site addresses. I've been using CHX-I for a long time and I highly recommend it. I also highly recommend Jetico Firewall (has SPI) , as well.

SPI is something that most current software firewalls do, including the Windows firewall. Although not all vendors are that forthcoming with information on their implementation of it. CHX-I documentation (and configuration) is good in this regard.
