hi everybody this is my first post here hope this comes out right
i am currently using ccleaner 1.41 and although it is working fine my problem is with the appearance it does not look the way it normally should and it is very distracting to use the way it looks now. i uploaded a image to tinypic.com to post a image here to see what i am refering to i dont now if this will work since this is my first attempt at posting a image so here it is :

    4pvybr4.jpg

if i did do everything right posting my image i circled in red what i would like to get corrected.

by the way i first notice ccleaner change of appearance in two earlier versions also i have tried several attempts at downloading the software from different websites and i downloaded the slim version of ccleaner (no yahoo toolbar) still no change in appearance.

i am currently running windows xp sp2

    thanks

    Hi alonewolf1 :)

Your screen capture shows version 1.41.544 ...

The most recent version is 2.00.475 (completly rewrited in C++ ...)

    http://www.ccleaner.com/

Uninstall the old one and install the most recent.

Tell us if the problem is solve.

    :)

Be aware the 2.0 version is still a beta.

Well worth the wait, if you can wait. I couldn't. Not a big change (other than gui & portability) that I was worried about.

believe me i would love to install ccleaner 2.0 but as firebytes
said it is still a beta and i have had my share of "beta" experiences so i don't think i wil be doing that.

but of course once ccleaner 2.0 is finish beta testing and all the bugs if there are any are worked out then yes i will be installing it.

so until then if i could get some answers to fix the current version it would be greatly appreciated

    thanks

That is a strange occurence, i've never seen that in all the time i've been using ccleaner. As long as its not causing any problems i wouldn't worry too much about it.

yeah it is a strange occurance and yes no major problems
with it that i know of and the software does work as i
mention before but still very distracting non the less.

it seems that after looking at the posts so far in this thread
it seems that i may be the only one having this issue
with ccleaner therefore is it safe to assume
its not the software but something going on with my pc.

does anyone agree or disagree with this logic?

    Hi alonewolf1 :)

    Agree.

Check first if there is an other example of bad display with different programs.

Then check in the device management for error message about graphic card:
    Start | run | devmgmt.msc

Check if there's an update for the graphic card drivers.

Disable as much as possible any "Eyes candy" "personalisations"...

Hope this help. Let us know.

    :)

    Hi alonewolf1.

While it's a shot in the dark, have you changed the default system font DPI from 96 to 120 perhaps (Advanced settings in Display properties)?

If you go to Display Properties > Appearance > Font Size, is it set to Normal?

Not much other than display (flicker on some systems) problems and 64-bit compatibility to fix in this beta, according to their changelog.

Go to Display Properties > Appearance and try the classic theme or just reapply your current theme.

Also click on Advanced and check the font sizes; teh fonts in your screenshot look bigger than the ones in yankinNcrankin's.

tried it, no luck as for the fonts in my screenshot and yankin
Ncrankin's his/her's eyesight is probably better than mine ie the
larger fonts. or maybe when the image was posted the
size of the image was made smaller.

anyways i have been thinking of just trying
    out ccleaner 2.0 wants its
    been officially released and see
    what happens other wise
i will be looking for a replacement cleaner.

and thank's everyone for the suggestions

    hi

finally downloaded ccleaner 2.0 and everything seems
    back to normal.

don't know what the problem was with the older version
but looks like i will be keeping ccleaner for now.

later and thanks for all suggestions/help in this thread.
