    I can´t delete "Search Assistant - My Search" at Add/Remove programs. A pop-up message comes up saying something like this:

    It wasn´t possibe to read in C:\Program\MyWay\SrchAstt\1.bin\mysrchas.dll

    It´s not possible to find the module

    ------------------------------------------
    I deleted the C:\Program\MyWay folder a long time ago so it isn´t at my computer anymore and I have deleted all the rests after MySearch as well. I just wanna know how I can get rid of it from the Add/Remove program list.

    Thanks.

    You need to remove it from the registry.

    Ok, is it this thing:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\clsid\{014da6c9-189f-421a-88cd-07cfe51cff10}

    I got the information from here:
    http://www.spysweeper.com/mysearch-uninstall.html

    Because I deleted that thing 2 days ago :) If it´s not, I would apppreciate instructions.

    It looks as if that is one of the strings that are related to it.

    I found one of them. And I deleted it. It was this:
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\clsid\{014da6c9-189f-421a-88cd-07cfe51cff10}

    But I still can´t delete "Search Assistant - MySearch" from Add/Remove programs.

    The entry in Add/Remove programs is just an "orphaned" registry key, and therefore harmless.

    However, for the sake of good housekeeping, here's How to clear unwanted entries from Add/Remove Programs

    NOTE: the article says it's for Win 95/98, but the procedure is exactly the same for all operating systems.

    Only use this method to remove stuff from there you are sure you don't have installed any more!
