    Acronis True Image Home 11, Build 8.064

    I have created a Backup Archiv some month ago. Now I like to delete it and create two more (Separate Data and Partion backups), but it's impossible to do so. A Window comes up and tell me, the Bachuk Archiv is successfull deleted, but it isn't. I emtied the Archiv, I even deleted it from the Disk, it's always the same thing. I can Edit it, but not delete.
    The log file showed an error which means I'm not a member. What does this means and how can I delete this Backup Archiv?
    Thanks for help,
    Bernd

    Hello BWalter,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Could you please collect some information to let us investigate the problem thoroughly?

    Please create a screenshot of the error message.

    Please create Acronis Report and Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

    Please also collect the application log of the operation:
    - run the program;
    - select Show log on the toolbar or from the Tools menu;
    - select the log with error messages;
    - click "Save the log entry to file" (the diskette icon).

    Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.

    Windows Safe Mode might be worth a try--sounds like the file table entry is mucked up.

    Hello Marat, thanks for your Information.
    If I try to delete the Backup File, there is no error message, in oposite it says the orperation was successful, but the Backup Archive is still there. The error log says, that I'm not a member, what ever this means.
    I send this to the Acronis support and they told me to deinstall and reinstall the program. This was not the answer to my problem, but it works now.

    Wrong!
    I deinstalled True Image 11 twice and also delete all Files within All Users and deleted the acronis entries in the registry too. After reinstallation this bloody Archive was back again. Again, deleting this Archive with the Astistand says it is successfull removed but it isn't. The protokoll shows an error 14 3(0xE003) "member not found".
    Where are the Arcives and their Parameter Entries stored?

    Hello BWalter,

    Please be aware that backup archives are normal files and aren't stored in any special way. If you encounter a problem with deleting a file, most likely it's caused by file table or hard drive corruption. We recommend you to run "chkdsk /r" on all partitions of the hard drive in question.

    If you have any further questions concerning Acronis software, please feel free to submit a request for technical support or post any of them on this forum. We will certainly try to help you in resolving any issues.

    Thank you.

    Thanks, Marat.
    I run Checkdsk without failure, but I solved the problem now with deleting the entry in the registry at "HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-3139820587-3732637898-3747455132-1005\Software\Acronis\Fomatik\PlaceBrowser\FavoritePlaces\".
    Regards,
    Bernd
