I have an old S900 Canon photo printer that all of a sudden has started spacing all the typing . When I print a page it puts a space between every letter. I can't figure out how to correct it. My op.sys. is XP .

    Hi WilliamP

Have you tried removing / re-adding the printer software / driver?

Have you changed any fonts lately?

Does it do the same no matter which font you use?

Is this only happening in Word, or is it with text from all sources?

If it's only with Word, could it be to do with character spacing? (Format > Font)

Maybe the spacing has been over-expanded...?

Is the spacing the same on the screen in both normal view and print preview?

    Just clutching at straws!

I just wanted to let you know that I found the problem. I have been using Firefox 4 Beta and that was the problem. Their last update caused it. I have gone back to 3.6
