Since updating to XP Pro I have attempted to run spywareblaster. It downloads and installs but as soon as I open the program to run it I get a message advising me that it has encountered a problem and needs to close, and the opportunity to notify microsoft..........simply I need the program back up and running.

    Any suggestions?

Could you please post the full details (or a screenshot) of the error message?

    Thanks,

Alright - it looks like you may have an older version of a required dll on your machine, or one of the other necessary support files may be corrupted.

Could you please try downloading and running the following file:

    http://download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/Redist/sp5/WIN98Me/EN-US/vbrun60sp5.exe

If that doesn't fix the problem (after a reboot, if necessary) please let me know.

    Thanks,

    -Javacool

It's worked! Thank you so much - I now have the program back and running which I am delighted about.
