CAnnot Restore

    Using the build 826 of TI, I created an image of a new notebook to a file server. Went fine. Now I'm trying to restore via network. The process starts and makes progress for about 10 minutes, then the timer shows 3 hours left and goes no further.

    Obviuosly, the partition of the laptop got cleared at the beginning of the retore process. Now it would seem I'm hosed.

    Any tips? o_O

    It should be noted that the hard drive in the notebook is the same one as before. No geometry problems.

    Hello Smartechnologies,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    Could you please boot the notebook with Acronis Bootable CD, verify the image using the "Check Image" tool and let us know the result? Also is it possible to copy the image to the external drive and plug the drive to the laptop to restore the image locally?
