I am using TrueImage OEM edition supplied with a Freecom FHD-3 external hard drive. I created an image of my hard disk, which Acronis automatically split into several .tib files within an image folder on the Freecom. I followed the instructions in the User's Guide to Explore the image, and attempted to assign drive letter F: to the first .tib arcive file. After a delay of a minute or so, I always get the error message "Cannot assign a drive letter to a partition from the image archive".

I downloaded the upgrade version 2 days ago and I am getting the same message. I need to pull some files from the *.tib file.

    Hello davidsherman and John Magee,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Could you please verify the image archive by means of the Check Image tool? Also please create a screenshot of the latest screen of the Explore Image wizard which contains the operation scenario and a screenshot of the error message and send it to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread.

    Thank you.
