can you help to find out this serice write so much data I/O ?

    Hi

    i did notice that my w7 sp1 64bit write an ammont of data around 6GB when my pc is idle , that's in about 4/5 hours

    i found out with DiskInfo _http://crystalmark.info/software/CrystalDiskInfo/index-e.html
    the only program resident in memory is smart security ,with only 1 task ,update database every 4 hours

    the problem is that i have 3 hard drive
    2 solid disk
    1 hard disk

    i want to know which service/program write so much data on my c:

    which software can i use?

    did you find normal 4 or 5 GB writen in few hours 3 or 4?

    without using firefox or other programs outside foobar?

    How do you know so much data is being written to your hard disk? Do you already know the location of the written data?

    Maybe you could try using Process Monitor?

    I haven't checked, but the Disk Defragmenter sometimes runs while I'm away, and that amount of data could be reasonable. You can open the Disk Defragmenter and see the last time it ran.
