    If you stop the Eset Smart Security file monitor, explorer crashes. Other programs with hooks in Windows crash as well. It corrupts the memory of other programs.

    If you try to stop email scanning, it will say "malfunctioning." You cannot restart it.

    No such thing on my XP Pro SP1.May be you should provide more info for further investigation.

    XP Home SP2 here, no such problem either. Maybe a driver conflict ?

    Works fine here on xp sp2. only thing like that I saw was when I turned off the firewall Imon said there was a problem which is understandable...
