    Hi
    I am a new member. I have had a proble when booting my computer. The NOD32 logo appears and seems to lock up my computer until it disappears about 2 mins later.
    I uninstalled NOD 32 and it still locks up but now the logo does not appear ?
    Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

    best regards

    Bryan

    I would definately suggest you try repairing windock as Blackspear has explained at post #81 of his Extra Settings Tutorial -->HERE<-- and then download a fresh copy of NOD32 before you reinstall.

    Let us know how you get on.

    Cheers :)

    Assuming windows XP, if you right-click on 'My Network Places' and the left-click on 'Properties' at the bottom of the list you should see any and all network connections there.

    Or, under Start-->Control Panel-->Network...

    and I suggest turning off the splash screen - it slows down your boot time as well.

    it's a subjective thing - try it yourself... time your boot time with splash screen and without... I noticed that my boot time was a few seconds less without it - and I am an impatient so-and-so... ;)
