Our new PC's won't have neither floppy nor CD/DVD units.

I'd need to boot from a USB memory stick like I boot now from the Boot CD created by True Image.

Is it possible? I rather don't go around with an external CD unit, plug it to the USB port, etc.

    Thanks,

    I've done just that.

Provided your motherboard supports booting from USB HD then just format the flash drive as FAT (not FAT32) and use the Create Bootable Media Wizard. When done, TI will think it has produced the floppy disk version of the bootable media. Ignore that and set your BIOS to boot from USB HD. I've set my own BIOS such that the 1st boot device is CD ROM, the 2nd is USB HD and the 3rd is my System Disk. Given a fair wind, it should work o.k.

    Hello anonymous2,

Thank you for choosing Acronis True Image (http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/products/trueimage/).

Could you please describe what exactly you are trying to do? Are you booting from memory stick or just from USB device (hard drive, CD etc.)? Please make sure your computer can be booted from USB device.

    Thank you.
