    Hello friends,

I'm trying to find a service (software application) which would allow me to create an offline blog. Yes, you heard right. Sounds odd, uh?

Well, I'm studying a few materials, and I'd be interested to know if there's any software application that would allow me to create my own offline blog to write down my notes, along side images; meaning that I'd be doing exactly as I would in a normal online blog service, just like Wordpress or Blogger, but in this case I'd be loading everything in my own system, and access the offline blog, through the software application or a local system address.

I know that I could use presentation or similar software, like PowerPoint or OneNote, but, I'd like to create Categories, and place all that belongs to one in their respective categories, etc. An offline blog would be just what I'm looking for. Everything would be arranged in a way to access things fast, well organized.

Would be possible to have Wordpress running in my own system, offline, and do all as I would be doing online?

    Thanks

Goin' to have to spend some time at those links...

Sometimes, you just want to work on something without being online..
revise what you want to say, try different pics/images...
without uploading on every (sometimes miniscule) revision..

    Thanks guys! :D

Yes, indeed! In my case, I just want it offline, actually. For the reasons I've mentioned in my opening post.

If search for this in Google "run wordpress offline", you will find more information. Some is the same, may differ a bit... Dunno, haven't looked all that. :D

    Cheers
