    Hi Blackspear...
Should the "quarantine" box in nod32 actions be ticked for all the drop down list such as archives ,email ,etc as well as "files" which is the first that shows?

It's not recommended to have the Quarantine box ticked at all cost, or your disk will get messed up with already known viruses (of course, in a safe form). It becomes handy if a virus is detected in a system folder and you are unsure whether it's safe to delete it or not.

Is that really true? The OP says to check all the Quarantine Boxes!! What do you have to say Blackspears to the o_O?

well before i even saw blackspears settings, i set everything up identical as he has got it except for i only quarantined email and email folders under the NOD32 on-demand scanner as it won't allow the clean - delete option.

What happens is the Quarantine folder slowly fills, it can be manually cleaned out without a problem. I have added a request in Future Changes to Nod32 for there to be an automatic purging of this folder after a determined period: https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=49674

In regards to advice, Eset Moderators and Bandicoot (when are you getting your colors Mr Coot, about time your official position here was made so, looks far more professional, if I may so.) take precedence over all and any advice given, due in general to the fact it is their program ;) :D.

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D

I just tick everything and then clean out my Quarantine Log file every now and then.

To me, I would rather do this and have the little nasty encrypted and copied for further analysis to the infected folder, than accidentally miss doing so and not be able to send it to Eset, I've done this in the past when Nod32 has found a "probable NewHeur_PE virus", not so likely to happen these days, just like knowing for sure it’s there and Eset can then have a play with it ;) :D

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D
