Yes, I noticed that too. It may be because the extension hasn't been approved by Mozilla yet.

that might be it, but i just uninstalled the add-on and re-installed the newer version from the addon page instead of waiting for it to update. and now it works fine with speeddial and lastpass :)

Didn't work for me. It installed apparently fine and the service and driver were loaded but there was nothing happening in any of my browsers.

Is this the first time you're trying it? The toolbar only shows a tiny tab at the top edge of the window with three green dots (assuming the page is safe). It's easy to miss.

I'm aware of where it's supposed to be but there was nothing there, nor were there any icons on search results.

OK, sorry it doesn't work for you. You could try one of the specific browser plugins. The latest Firefox plugin is working properly for me.

    Hy guys,

There is a new release for the extension which solves most of the problems regarding compatibility with other extensions , and should work ok with both Firefox 3.6 / 4.X

You can find them here : http://trafficlight.bitdefender.com/extensions.html

Your feedback was and will be most appreciated , thanks a lot .

Does the adblock and download protection components work yet?

So far TF 0.1.12 is working fine for me in FireFox 4.0.1. No slowdowns, youtube video is working properly, search results are coming up in Google, SpeedDial plugin is working.

Tried installing it again but still no go. Nothing available in IE9, Firefox or Chrome under Windows 7 x64.

it detects eicar.txt and eicar.com pages as threats but does it really scan links as threats? I tried a few links of small malwares files that are detected by Bitdefender, but not detected by Traffic Light

    Are you using the extension?
    http://trafficlight.bitdefender.com/extensions.html

Seems that the extension does not support the AV scanner for files, I dont have it very clear

Anybody know a fast way to test the rendering speed of Firefox? I would like to test it using some extensions like ABP, ghostery, TL...

I tried TrafficLight (service), hoping to run it alongside Avira free, but it whacked my internet speed. Images took a while to load, if at all in some instances. I have a 20mbps connection.

Looking forward to trying the next release.

Trafficlight foldersize in Program Files is 630 Mb . isn't it too much for a web traffic scanner? Why does it have to download all the definitions when it is said to use cloud server :cautious:?

The extension versions are much lighter and more compatible.

@sg09 : TrafficLight isn't only cloud based. It scans the traffic that reaches your browser with malware & antiphishing engines in order not to miss websites that might not be in the cloud.

I'm still not too sure about TrafficLight; Does is it still slow web browsing? Anyway I think that IE 9 and Norton DNS are doing a good job protecting me anyway without trafficlight.

    Thanks.

Has anyone find a page rated other than "green"? :doubt:

I haven't. I've done a few test searches on some nasty keywords and nothing would trigger it. It would be nice to see TL flag something as dangerous and actually block a page.

Yes, plenty. If you specifically searched for malware sites, using places such as Malware Domain List, it'll be apparent.
