It looks like this bug has been cleared up by one of BD9's updates since I installed the product.

Windows Security Center now shows the name of the firewall, and the name of the antivirus as being "BitDefender 9"

Hello buddy, if cannot update using BD9, then download it manually from official website, and if you all still got problem in security centre in windows xp sp2, try to update windows at www.windowsupdate.com. I don't have problem using BD9. After reformat my PC and laptop, then install windows (which is 1st release, also called OEM), then install SP1 and install SP2 again, then go to microsoft site and update. Then no problem in BD9.

    Finnaly uninstalled BifDefender 9!

Every few minutes my computer freezes for 3-5 seconds. Every hour when it doing update my computer is freezeing sometimes and more than 10 seconds unitl it update anr restart itself.

The main reason i uninstalled it was when I play games and if it doing updates it just switch me from game to Desktop...
Also my game crashed regualrry if I do not disable real-time scanner.

Nice product and nice interface but it still need work...

I changed the time of updates to 4 hours instead of the default 1 hour. I did not have the problem of computer freeze, but the AV does go off for about 10 seconds every time it updates.
I wonder if others do, and we just do not know it.

No,BD is the only one from what i can tell. AntiVir also disables itself during update, but only disables, without full tray reloading.

Update error: you get this because of license issues. Contact softwin.
Also, when you succeed updating, the Bitdefender restarts itself, loading the new modules\definitions.
    Cheers.
