Nice link with good news Unfortunately most people infected with this won't have a clue how to use the info/tools etc to successfully decrypt, as the www were able to. I hope the Anti vendors see the link & can make use of it in some way/s ?

I notice that bitcrypt.info has been suspended !



So unless the baddies sort it out, if posssible, anyone who has been infected recently with it is toast ! Unless they can do the above, which is Very doubtful.

 

Make regular backups of your data, and don't just rely on a traditional AV thinking you are ok. Some studies estimate that on average traditional AV's only detect 40-50 percent of malware on any given day.
