OK, now that my beloved Dodgers got pancaked by the Cardinals steamroller :doubt: , I can relax & enjoy the rest of the playoffs & World Serious. A few thoughts on same....

    1) I'm rooting for the Sawks in the AL, primarily because I HATE the
Yankees with the passion of the guy in Damn Yankees. Even though
my all-time baseball hero is Mickey Mantle (being a child of the 50s/60s),
the current bunch is an all-star team purchased with cable TV revenue.
Plus, the Sawks need a break from the bezbol gods....

    2) The Cards look unbeatable, but so did the A's in '88 until they ran into
Gibson's home run. Houston is on a roll that began late in the season.
This could be a GR8 series....

    3) Prediction: Sawks vs Cards in WS....

I'm with you ssgtmax. I hate the Yankees too and I'm rooting for the Red Sox! I think the Astros vs the Sox would make a great World Series.

The Astros broke a jinx this year. They finally won a playoff series. If they were to beat the Cardinals, it would be a major upset.

    Go 'stros anyway!! :)

Amen! Two series that were duller than a John Kerry speech have turned into real barn-burners. There's definitely "no quit" in da Sawks or da 'Stros. Baseball @ its best....even if they're not "your" team. :D ;)

Waaah! Whoooo! The Red Sox humiliated those hated Yankees! The Sox may be a scruffy looking bunch, but they have heart. Go Sox!!!

Mucho congrats to da Sox! Absolutely unbelievable, improbable, impossible comeback. And God bless all 4 teams for making these the most interesting LCS moments in....well....forever.

For your sake, Ronjor, I hope Clemens has his "A" game with him tonight. ;)

I give them an A+ for their already amazing comeback this year.

Yeh, the Astros did good. I was rooting for them too, but it wasn't to be. It should be a good World Series anyway.

Dem Sawks finally beat the curse! I can't believe they took it from the Cards in only four games. It would have been more interesting if they had to go the whole seven games.

After losing Game 3 of the ALCS 19-8, da Sawks proceeded to take 8 GAMES IN A ROW from the Yanks & Cards, arguably the 2 best teams in baseball this year. Amazing! I've never seen anything like it in team sports before now. GR8 finish to a fun season.... ;)

What are the odds of that happening?

St Louis looked like little leaguers.

I checked with the math wizards down the road @ Cal Tech. They calculated the odds @ 3.19158 bazillion to 1. In other words, about the same chance as me growin' hair again on my head again.... :ninja: (Yikes....maybe there's hope!!)
