I've had Outpost for a couple of months and I love it.

I have used Sygate free firewall in the recent past and found it very good though a bit heavy on ram, similar to Zone Alarm. It provides excellant security and is pretty easy to configure. Its niftiest feature is an excellant logger for inbound access and attacks and for backtracing possible attacks. All in all I found it very good. I have since gone the router route, hey that kinda rhymes don't it?...

Thanks Mongol, glad to see a Sygate user check in with a perspective on it :)

I just noticed that Agnitum has a FREE version of Outpost:

    Outpost Firewall Free

Has anyone used this one and can comment on it's effectiveness and ease of use, etc.? I've heard some really good thing about PRO, but I didn't even know that they offered a FREE version....
