backward compatibility

Hi,
I had an old backup set produced with Version 6 Trial. Trying to restore with a fresh bought version 8 brings as result a damaged archive.

It seems that backups written by the trial version are not restorable. But the user is not informed about this fact. What remains is a bitter taste about the Acronis, I would have rather spent this 50 bucks to charity as been ripped off by robber-knights of the e-commerce age.

How should I trust my data to that programm, if I cant restore old backup images.
