Avira Premium Security Suite Version 9 Beta

No changelog yet... I believe only some bugs were fixed.

 

How come they don't have a Premium beta version (without firewall)?

 

This is a guess, it's probably more cost and time efficient to test the suite. The bugs will be weeded out, changes will be made. Then, the stand-alone AV will be released minus the modules that make up the suite. Sweet?!

 

Because they already developed a great suite a few months earlier? (There is this little thing called the product life cycle that is different for each vendor, as there are no "set" dates when they have to release a new product)..... V6 Was revolution (new technologies) V7 was evolution (improving existing and adding new technologies) and V8 was revolution again (New technologies).....so V9 will be an evolution with emphasis on improving the existing features and adding some new functionality.


Also a GUI redesign was needed to accomodate the completely reworked protection modules, as they wouldn't have fit well into the old design. You can only flog an old horse so much before it becomes impractical.... As for the rest of your statement that is complete nonsense and if you don't have something useful to say it is best not to say it IMHO. If you have a new flavour of the month there is no need to start with the nonesense about other programs that you aren't currently using.
