AVG 8 not updating in vista. Please help.

I have a vista home basic laptop. I installed AVG 8 in my laptop but when i try to update it, it updates at speed of 30-20 bytes. Please help me with my problem.

 

make sure it is not your internet connection. Make sure other programs can do an update.

If they are, try rebooting and see if that clears it out then try updating again.

If this doesn't work, reinstall AVG 8.0. You can try to do it as a "repair" without uninstalling the old version.

If this doesn't work you will have to uninstall the program and re install it.
