Is the identity protection basically PRSC?

Is it just me or this thing looks very similar to Norton Anti-Bot ?
I mean look at the GUI structure and placement (not including detailed design and colors).

    Well,

I have a PRSC lisence on Vista64. The advantage of PRSC is that it never pops-up. The downside is that you wonder why you are paying for it.

Currently it appears they are still deciding whether to include it on AVG 8 Pro edition or not. Most likely it will make it into the professional edition in some form or the other.

And Norton Anti-Bot is a copy of PRSC. :D

Why change a UI that works great, and that will be familiar to long users of SANA's product? :)

If this will be also included in free version of AVG, we're looking at very interesting antivirus. If not, it will be the biggest fail...

im guessing it would only be in the suite, at least for now.

I think it will be included in AVG Pro at least. I looked up the news on a number of website and found some interesting comments:

    http://www.crn.com/security/212900313

Very interesting statement. It remains to be seen what is the end result of it though. Maybe he means 1 percent of the latest Quad Core Intel processors :D

    Also from the same article:

We might yet see a standalone application based on this......The statement about the technology making it into the AV only product appeared on some other websites as well.

    http://www.thetechherald.com/article.php/200903/2785/AVG-bulks-up-with-Sana-Security-acquisition

It does appear that at least AVG Pro will be getting the Sana Security technology.

About AVG free, well this is what they had to say:

If they add it to the free version, AVG will become the best free AV, good AV, Link Scanner and PRSC. That,s too good.

Current free AVG is rather crippled. Crappy popup for payable version and onle 1 update check per 24 hours...

Both easily rectified, and there's not many who beat it in terms of detection and speed of adding updates.

I think putting PRSC into AVG free wouldn't be viable economically, because then many people might not buy the Pro and Suite version.
