Right on! Many here at Wilders are convinced that Avira's demise is imminent, bad news for them... Seriously though it is nice to see the program with a top score on this type of test. I presume that V13 was the version tested.

    Good job to most AV's.
Seems like Emsisoft reduced those user dependent detection, lets see if its constant.

I believe your gang (Emsisoft) slammed the door! Lot of good results...even McAfee picking up.

McAfee is a mystery to me. They still have enough revenue to put out the resources to deliver a good product. But they have not done so in many years.

Yes, this AV-C result looks better for McAfee.

But the dead last finish in the Dennis Technology test is not good.

When they were bought by Intel, and then issued a few press releases talking about good sounding technology gained by purchasing smaller companies.... it sounded like McAfee might be making a comeback.

    We'll see.

They had Bitdefender IS right with MSE...a little odd but I don't know much about Dennis Tech. Hope Intel gives McAfee a boost.

If im not mistaken it was due to user interaction and FP's.

Money can't always buy talent. Emsi are small, but have very dedicated and talented people.
Yeah, it's become the Rodney Dangerfield of AVs. But for all their troubles, incompetence was never one. Yet people still confuse them with G-Dud (sorry Mac, I just don't like it), who have presumably got their build update servers hacked and never sorted it out, still yet to support 8.1 even though almost all others now manage to, can't develop diddly doo on their own, can't do research, has to do the AYTABTU non-stop just to be competitive, can't adjust to different platforms, can't fix bugs, and thus can't have you believe it could get good test results fair and square. I can't wait until that pathetic excuse for an IT security company vanishes from the face of Earth!

Yes, it has gone from 90,3% in March to 96,6% in September, as Microsoft anticipated when they stopped focusing on passing file detection tests.
