The Dr Web results are still very average , and Mcafee is now just advanced.

BitDefender and Dr. Web fail to impress, after all their huge signature additions still their old ratings. Also McAfee seems slipping away.

AVIRA did a very good job, I hope they keep up and keep on offering their product at low price. avast! scored stable and slightly improved over the last test, nice to see.

all those who scored 5/10 or less in polymorphic virus test have got advanced or less.even kaspersky and mcafee

but it hardly matters in my opinion, mcafee has done well with 90+ detection rates and even AVG.But still mcafee has surprised me and i am finding it hard to believe..from 96&98% in feb it has come down to 92% ??
    how come its possibleo_O

so is it time that we give AVG the same respect as we give to norton/mcafee/avast/avira/kaspersky and others??
also i am quite surprised at avira's performance..

And if AV-comparative's test are anything to go by,norton/mcafee/kaspersky are seriously in threat, coz when freebies like AVG/Avast/Avira are doing so well than why go for paid ones??

Just wanted to give a kudos to Avira. Their progress has been outstanding. It's now possible to run a free anti-virus that has better protection than many major players...or is it that they are a major player now!
