AV-C Anti-Phishing test of popular browsers

Sorry but a browser is only as quick as your internet connection.If your internet connection is slow then it stands to reason that the browser will be slow.

 

In these days of obsession with speed Opera browser is losing out. But it is the most elegant of the lot with some really nice features.

 

Everyone's experience differs,but I've found the speed to be acceptable and none of the sites I've visited have had an issue (although at one time there were a few).

 

i saw the results yesterday and my first thought was:
chrome+wot+trafficlight > opera and very very very poor extension support.

 

Maybe that's why it's so sluggish on my system, ABP is the only extension I have installed, I wonder if it's slowing me down. Chrome is much quicker for me...

 

Absolutely.. Opera is sexy as hell, great features, awesome look. But boy has it become slow in comparison, they just haven't taken it to the next level in speed as the others have (IE/Chrome). Opera, IMO needs to take the next year and focus on optimizations and speed, nothing else.

 

think I'll give Opera another try for a while
