Automating True Image Rescue Disk?

I have a further question about scripting in ATI.

In this thread, there is the statement, that RECOVERY can´t be automated with scripting on rescue disk...

I want to go shure, that this is impossible for IMAGING, too...

Is there any way to automate IMAGING on a ATI Server Boot CD (Rescue/Restore-CD)

If YES, I´ll be very happy... Where could I find some examples ?
Where I have to copy the script file onto disk and which filename must be given?

What do you want to automate, the creation of an image or the restoration of an already created image?

The former can be done; the latter cannot.

I want to automate the CREATION of an image.

The following should happen:

- User starts workstation (ATI boot-CD in drive)
- Workstation boots up ATI and creates an image of the whole disk on a network drive
- After this, a message occurs, that the image creation process is finished.

Thats all...


I have read the manual for scripting in ATI, but there´s no hint, WHERE to place the script on CD and HOW to designate/call it...

There is mentioned, that automation of boot-cd is NOT possible...

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

As it was already described in the thread which you have mentioned, it is not possible to schedule backup/restore procedure (create an automatically executed task) within Acronis Bootable Rescue CD functionality.

Probably it will be implemented in future, but I'm afraid that the time frame is not available yet.
